Three armed bandits attacked and robbed the D.Singh family at around 19 hrs. Friday evening at their home in Atlantic Gardens, East Coast Demerara. When TrakkerNews visited the scene, the Police were scouring the area for possible clues. Based on reports, Singh who operates a business in the city had just off loaded a container when a white Carina pulled up and three gunmen emerged. They proceeded to rob the businessman who was outside his yard. It is not clear whether the men went inside the premises, but from reports they escaped with a substantial amount of cash and valuables.

World statistics day will be observed on October 20th,2010, the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretary-general Edwin Carrington is advocating that Caribbean governments resolve to strengthen the capacity of their Central Statistical Offices and the Statistics Departments of other ministries and agencies.

Police have Denise Monroe under strict observation in custody after she continues to make threats of killing herself. Since she torched her family house a few nights ago, Monroe has become suicidal. Police believe that she may need professional help if her condition worsen. The woman became enraged a few weeks ago after her marital relationship with her husband ended in a divorce  following constant domestic disputes.
