With no regards for oncoming traffic through a major road, a young 17 year old lad smashed head on unto another vehicle sending it in a nearby ditch. The lad who is barely of age to have a driver’s license was driving out his mother at the time, who has since been taken to the hospital for treatment. Apart from, trauma and a few bruises, no one was seriously hurt. The driver of PLL 1714 explained to Trakker News that he was driving toward Vlissengen road on Garnett, when out of no where a white Mark 11 raced out of Republic Street and smashed into him.

Diego Martin North East Member of Parliament Colm Imbert has written to House Speaker Wade Mark asking for Justice Minister Herbert Volney to be referred to the Parliament’s Privileges Committee for statements he (Volney) made about Chief Justice Ivor Archie.
Imbert in a letter dated today wrote Mark seeking leave to raise a question of privilege in tomorrow’s sitting of the Lower House.
Imbert said according to Standing Order 36(10) the "conduct of a judge shall not be raised except upon a substantive motion moved for the purpose".

The Police this afternoon have issued a wanted bulletin for Abdul Imran Khan of lot 11 Austin Street Campbellville in relation to a number of charges. The police said the latest charge the 24-year-old is wanted for is discharging a loaded firearm at a security guard at a popular city night club.
Khan has had several brushes with the law and has been placed on bail.

Motorists along the East West corridor will be allowed to take their last legal drive along the Priority Bus Route today.
The three month trial period where the public was allowed access to the PBR during stipulated hours officially ens today.
It officially ends at 2.30 today.
The PBR was made accessible to the public on weekdays between 4 a.m to 6 a.m. and 8.30 am to 2.30 pm as a possible solution to traffic congestion.
The Works Ministry is currently conducting an on-line survey to determine whether the public use of the PBR will be continued.

According to the Bureau’s spokeswoman this will help to reduce the effects of global warming since plastics are non-biodegradable and hazardous to the environment.
