Shareema Gopaul and Jarvis Small, charged with the brutal murder of 16 year old Neesa Gopaul, will have to wait to find out whether they will be committed to stand trial for murder, as the case in the Magistrate’s Court was adjourned until the 23rd of November 2010.  The Prosecution on Monday failed to complete it’s case against the duo, causing defense lawyers, Vic Puran and Bernard De Santos to question whether the Police are still fishing it the presentation of their case.

Clean up operations continue in and around Port of Spain this morning after yesterday’s heavy flooding. The Meteorological Office forecasts that there could again be more flash flooding today as heavy rain is again predicted. The Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management (ODPM) has however claimed that first responder agencies are ready and able to handle any eventuality today. Hundreds of commuters were left stranded yesterday after flood waters prevented buses and maxi taxis from entering the main transportation hub- City Gate.
