Robbery Victim Brigemohan Shot four times in the abdomen
Latest reports on wounded CI brothers
Bullets from the leg and arm of Bridgemohan Khemlall , one of the two brothers that was shot by bandits last night at Cornelia Ida were removed by doctors at the Balwant Singh Hospital this evening.
The other brother Premanandat is still losing blood and according to the doctors at Georgetown Public Hospital, four bullets are still in his body in the area of the abdomen and not two that was reported earlier.
His condition is listed critical.
If convicted the duo charged with killing Neesa Gopaul are looking at the death sentence.
As investigators continue to find more clues in the brutal murder of Neesa Gopaul, the dead girl’s mother and her lover are looking at hard time behind bars or even the death sentence. The charge of murder against the duo, came almost a week after the decomposing body of the 16 year old was fished out of a creek on Soesdyke Highway. The charge carries a death sentence in the event of a conviction, something which the Government has not carried out in almost 2 decades.
Two separate robberies, same time today
Two men one armed with a handgun about 10:25 am today Friday October 08, 2010 robbed Farook Hussein of $422, 000.00 cash (GC), a quantity of GT&T cell phone cards and two cellular phones at Lot 8 Bagotstown, EBD.
Hussein was tending to his business, ‘Sweet Dreams Hace Hardware Store’ together with an employee when the two suspects entered enquiring about an item.
They held up both men and robbed the entity, then fled.
Breakdown of Law and Order,Murder and Mayhem continues – PNC/R
The main opposition the PNC/R today lashed out at the ruling PPP/C claiming that there is an alarming breakdown of law and order. The most recent horrors are evident in: the barbaric killing of sixteen year old Neesa Gopaul; the Friday 1st October 2010 gunning down of Mark Ceasar; and the Monday 4th October 2010 execution style killing of Patrick Goodluck and Godfrey Grootfaam.
Cornelia Ida Brothers fighting for their lives
The two brothers that were shot last night at Cornelia Ida (CI) during a robbery are presently in intensive care units at two separate city hospitals.
24 year old Bridgemohan Khemlall is receiving blood at the Georgetown Public Hospital and is listed as critical by doctors. Two bullets are still lodged in his abdomen.
The other brother 22 year old Premanandat Khemlall is being still treated at Balwant Singh Hospital for gunshot wounds to the arm and leg.
Three more wanted by the Police
The Police are now looking for three more persons in relation to murders.
Wanted are Paul Daby called Randell of D’ Aguiar’s Park, Salim Juman Azeez of Canal # 2, West Bank Demerara and Peter Daby called Spiderman also of D’ Aguiar’s Park.
Border trade and security top the agenda at regional military conference.
Lethem -Guyana: A number of security matters relating to the Guyana /Brazil border including transnational crime, cross border trade and the security challenges posed by the recently opened Takutu River Bridge and the road linking Lethem and Georgetown were discussed at a just concluded regional Military conference at the Savannah Inn, Lethem, Guyana.
