Tropical storm warning- Heavy rainfall expected over the next 72 hours
The Government of Guyana has officially issued a warning bulleting for Guyanese to take the necessary precautionary measures over the next 72 hours, since the Hydrometrological office says there is a tropical storm that will pass over the Northern part of the country.

Mixed reaction as Human Service Minister dismisses workers found culpable in Neesa Gopaul’s case
Minister Priya Manickchand revelations about the findings of an investigation into Human Services Ministry’s handling of Neesa Gopaul’s case and her subsequent action to dismiss two case workers are getting a lot of attention by the public this morning. As was expected opposition party members continue to call for her dismissal saying that the blame should be shared equally and that the Minister is as much responsible for failing the 16 year old as the two fired staff members.
Body seen floating in the Essequibo river
Persons travelling the Bartica/Parika route have notice an object this morning which looks like a human body floating in the Essequibo river in the vicinity of Sampa. At the time of this report, no one has attempted to investigate, but the police at Bartica were notified.
