Mother accused of killing child in court
A 27-year-old mother who allegedly force-fed her son baby formula laced with poison two Saturdays ago appeared before a Tunapuna Magistrate today. Kalisha Williams of Gordon Street, Curepe appeared before Magistrate Nanette Ford-John in the Tunapuna Magistrates Court today. Williams, who was charged with administering a noxious substance with the intent to murder, was granted $50,000 bail with a surety. The matter was adjourned to September 5.



Deputy Director of Prisons, Lieutenant Colonel Malcolm McAndrew told Minister of Home Affairs Clement Rohee that Cadets Olivia Alfred-Cox and Deoraj Gyandatt will help to enhance the managerial capacity of the prison service. Understudying is on-going since it equips the officers with the necessary tools to aid in managing the prisons.
