Police cracking down on crime
The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service had their best week last week, recording its highest number of arrests, the Police Service’s Public Affairs Unit said in a release today.
The police “recorded the highest number of arrest, issuance of tickets, patrols, recovery of drugs, narcotics and illegal fire arms and ammunition over a one week period,” the release stated.

More Flood Horrors….Rivers likely to overflow today
There is a serious possibility of rivers with already high water levels spilling over, the Meteorological Office has advised. The warning comes on the heels of another day of severe flooding around the country. On Monday the Inter Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) produced heavy rain which caused flash flooding and high water levels in several rivers. South and Central Trinidad are already reeling from the devastating effects of the floods.
