At about 1:45am today Amarnauth Ramdeen, 19 years, of Craig Village, East Bank Demerara, was aroused by noise in his home and on checking was confronted by three men, two of whom were armed with firearms.
One of the men discharged a round that struck Amarnauth Ramdeen to his right elbow, as they escaped through an incomplete window.
Amarnauth Ramdeen has been admitted to hospital as the investigations continue.
