Five business destroyed by early morning fire.

Georgetown : At around 4:30am today, fire blazed through four buildings destroying five businesses.

One eyewitness who also suffered in the fire told TrakkerNews that the fire started at a Chinese restaurant which is three buildings away from his home and business place.

The four businesses destroyed are Luck Dollar Home Furishing, Indra’s Fashion and musical centre, Boyo’s fashion and Classic Styles, both businesses situated in one building and a Chinese Resturant.

More than fifty persons are out of jobs this morning.  Firefighters were commended by hundreds of curious onlookers for their promptness, but they were unable to save anything from the four buildings.

The last building burnt, Luck Dollar store is just a few feet away from the City Mall at the junction of Camp and Regent Streets, which housed more than 100 stores.
