Killer jailed for life

Bridgetown.

Justice Maureen Crane-Scott yesterday imposed two concurrent life sentences on Charles Frederick for the double murder of Arthur Chaderson and his son in law Gerhard Stock on August 2, 2011.

It has been several years since a life sentence has been imposed by a judge, but Justice Crane- Scott in a lengthy address to the court noted that in the circumstances the sentence was justified.

The Judge referred to Chaderson ten previous convictions for several offences, including robbery, theft and possession of a gun, with one occurring eight days before the killing.

She said Frederick was a danger to the society and a sentence of life imprisonment was fully justified.
