Women living in fear

Bridgetown.

Naudia Williams is living in fear after her, house at Buckingham Road,Bank Hall, St Mchael  was destroyed by a home-made bomb earlier this week.

According to Williams, she was sleeping at her mother's house on Tuesday's night when she heard he sound of breaking glass followed by a loud  explosion.

She got up and ran to the backdoor and saw her small one-room house, which is in the backyard of her mother’s home, engulfed in flames.

“I am so lucky to be alive today because I usually sleep in there with my two children and my nephew,” Williams cried as she surveyed the charred remains.

Williams, 28, said she began sleeping at her mother’s home two weeks ago  because a man had been threatening her.

Williams told journalists that when she checked her cell phone, the man had sent her a text message around 11:46 p.m. threatening her life once again.

“I am very frightened, my mother and sisters, who live at the main house are also afraid for thier lives," says Williams.

    Williams, who is the mother of a  eight-year-old daughter and a four year-old son, said all of her children’s clothing in the blaze.
