The 2012 Crop Over Festival came to an end yesterday with 15,000 revellers dancing and wining from Warren to Spring garden with a few downpours amist blistering heat.
The costumed revellers paraded before the judges at the National Stadium then danced they way through Bank Hall, Eagle Hall, Black Rock and on to Spring Garden.
Veteran band leader Gwyneth Squires won the titiles for Large Band of The Year, Best Band On The Road, Most Colourful Large Band and Designer Of The Year with the Band Barbados Living In Colour.
Several local and regional personalities donned costumes and played mas among them were Minister of Culture Stephen Lashley and West Indies cricketers Dwayne Bavo and Dwayne Smith.
