US Charge d’ affaires pays courtesy call on President Granger

Georgetown : The United States (US) Charge d’ affaires, Bryan Hunt in offering his congratulations to President David Arthur Granger, said the US is looking forward to strengthening bilateral relations.  Hunt paid a courtesy call on the Head of State at the Presidential complex today.

During the meeting, Hunt said several areas in which the United States has had long cooperation with Guyana were discussed. Some of these include security issues, which fall under the Caribbean Basin Security Initiative (CBSI), and the US’   work with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment through the Energy Governance Capacity Initiatives.
