San Fernando: The bitter feud between the Congress of the People and the UNC at least among some members seems to be an unending story as there is word that San Fernando Mayor Marlene Coudray has sent a pre-action protocol letter to her Deputy Mayor Navi Muradali accusing him of defamation of her character.
The letter sent by Attorney Vishwanath Rambarran says Coudray has been brought into public ridicule, odium and disrepute because of statements attributed to Muradali.
It further says that the mayor has suffered severe damage to her reputation and is demanding a payment of $650,000 for damage to her character and reputation.
Mayor Coudray also wants an unqualified and unambiguous apology from Muradali.
