Two died of dengue haemorrhagic fever

Bridgetown.

Two people have died  in Barbados, as a result of dengue haemorrhagic  fever this year. Chief Environmental Health Officer, Tyrone Applewhaite revealed this afternoon.

According to Applewhaite, there have been six cases of the illness and 126 cases of dengue fever for the first 39 weeks of the year.

The Environmental Health Department of the Ministry of health has implemented an integrated mosquito control programme aimed at reducing the mosquito population.
