Barbados owes UWI $90 million

The Government of Barbados is the most indebted of the 17 participating governments in Cave Hill Campus of the University of the West Indies.

This was disclosed by principal of the campus, Sir Hilary Beckles, who told the press the Givernment of Barbados owes  the Cave Hill Campus  $90 million.

"This recession has obviously placed the Government in a very difficult situation in terms of fiscal deficit, in terms of measuring its cash flow. So what we are doing is working very closely with the Government", Sir Hilary said.

The debt is in the form of tuition fees and economic cost.
