TT Football Federation challenges FIFA President

Port-of-Spain: The Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation (TTFF) has written the world football ogverning body's, FIFA president Sepp Blatter accusing Concacaf of plotting to destabilize the Caribbean Football Union. The letter, signed by TTFF President Oliver Camps, points to a U.S-led conspiracy against the CFU, arising out of bribery allegations against suspended FIFA Vice-President Jack Warner.

The two page letter congratulates Sepp Blatter on his re-election but then goes on to detail what they say are "an expose what can now be confirmed as attempts at intimidation and terrorisation by forces who wish to divide and destroy the 30-year history of the union".

The letter says the procedures guiding the four persons provisionally suspended by the FIFA Ethics Committee is"tainted and biased and clearly has a US driven agenda".

The letter offers as evidence that Concacaf General Secretary, Chuck Blazer and John Collins who conducted the inital investigation are American and the FIFA-appointed lead investigator Louis Freeh is also American having served under former US President Bill Clinton, who was involved in the failed US bid to get the 2022 World Cup.

The letter says at a Concacaf meeting in Zurich, "then General Secretary Chuck Blazer tried to intimidate members of the CFU when he stated that they were all under investigation".
To date no CFU member has recieved notice of the investigation.

The letter says, "we now learn that members of the CFU including the TTFF have been summoned to an interview in Miami to assist the investigators with their investigation into allegations against the four persons provisionally suspended by FIFA.

The letter further states that CFU members were told while they were not compelled to attend a negative inference would be drawn if they failed to attend. Camps reminded Blatter, there was no law of compulsion in the FIFA Ethics Committee hearings.

The letter ends by saying, "the facts presented above depict two American complainants, an American investigator, an investigation and an interrogation being conducted on American soil while FIFA remains a Swiss-registered entity and none of the persons under investigation being US citizens. To what end, one must wonder, is the US featuring so prominently in this entire elaborate scheme?"
