Minister of International business  and Industry Minister, Donville Inniss says a trimming of the public service is long overdue.

Speaking  to the media at the opening of a meeting of ministers responsible for financial services in Cariform at the Radisson Aquatica Resort,  Inniss explains that it will be very difficult to avoid such a move.

Inniss also commented on the presence of a team from the International Monetary Fund (IFM) on the island.

While not committing to the possibility of an IMF regime for Barbados, he revealed that his ministry has had discussions with those officials about the marco-economic issues facing the country.
