Slow winter season for taxi drivers

Bridgetown.

Members of the Bridgetown Port Taxi Co-operative are complaining of a slow winter season, despite an estimated 10 percent increase in business so far this year, when compared to 2012.

President of the Bridgetown Port Taxi Co-operative, Villenuve Greaves told Trakker News  the decline in business is due to competition from other tour operators at the Bridgetown Port and the current economic recession.

In an effort to remain competitive,  Greaves said the members of the Cooperative will be seeking to further diversify their product by targeting the locals.
