Tremor rattled Guyana

Georgetown: A tremor rattled Guyana at approximately 10:12 PM (local time) around the same time a quake measuring 6.0 on the Richter Scale shook north-eastern Venezuela. Persons in Georgetown as well as far away as Corriverton, Berbice felt the earth shake.

Around the same time, the United States Geological Surveys (USGS) reported a 6.0 earthquake at 10:10 PM about 27 kilometers North North Easr of Gueiria, Venezuela to a depth of 86 kilometers. The location was 10.818°N 62.233°W.
