The Transport Authority is to closely monitor public service vehicles (PSVs), Chairman of the Authority Joseph King made the annoucement at a seminar for defensive driving at the weekend.
King said the Authority will soon be publishing regulations for all PSV operators ensuring that pirating does not occur and all PSV workers are trained.
The Chairman expressed alarm over the number of accidents involving PSV vehicles, the seminar is the first of several hosted by the Transport Authority, intended to improve the standard of driving and general safety on the roads.
