Superintendent Jairam Ramlakhan appointed Public Relations, Press Officer

Georgetown: Jairam RamlakhanThe Guyana Police Force has appointed Superintendent of Police Jairam Ramlakhan as Public Relations and Press Officer with effect from the Month of June. He has been shining whilst performing duties in almost all of the Policing Divisions from a grass root perspective that has earned him the respect of both his peers, subordinates and communities at large.

 Superintendent Ramlakhan has moved through the ranks as the head of portfolios too numerous to mention with key posts such as the prestigious Chief Court Prosecutor of Division ‘B’ and Traffic Chief of the Guyana Police Force, with still quite a few remaining years remaining before retirement to expound on his career.

Having enlisted in the Police Force almost three decades ago, he continues to strive to give the best of his dedication which was highlighted when he won the President’s Gold Medal Essay Award in 2009 and he continues to give the utmost of his qualities in service to this nation. He is well known and is undisputed as someone who gets to the bottom of issues when they are reported to him and ensures that justice is meted out fairly and deservingly. Of the numerous facets of police training Superintendent Ramlakhan is well versed and is quite capable of assuming any position or role that may be required of him within the Guyana Police Force.

“In the event his overseas training may be call into question, it is known that he has already completed training in Police Administration (Barbados), International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law (Jamaica) and Communicating Crime and Justice in Washington D.C. It is as a result of these key courses among others that would have really molded him into the person that he is today; pleasant and approachable by all,” the police force noted. “ The attributes he has developed and became acclimated to are what contribute to him being an outstanding leader and with the well wishes of his comrades and family all intending to see him continue climbing the ladder of success.”
