Store reopen after being closed by Health Officials

Bridgetown.

Furniture Limited was re-open this week after being closed for six months because of environmental reasons.

The department store located at Cumberland Streeet, Bridgetown, was closed last June by officials of the Environmental Department of the Ministry of Health.

At that time owner of the Furniture Limted  Asha Merchandani, was ordered to carry out an extensive clean up of the premises, last  week health officials blocked a planned re-opening of the store.

On Tuesday, the store newly painted re-opened its doors to the public.  A officials from the Ministry of Health told Trakker News the store was given permission to open following an inpection but stressed that the first floor was out of bounds to the public.
