Barbados least corrupt country in the Caribbean

Transparency International has ranked Barbados as the least corrupt country in the Caribbean. The German based agency also revealed that Barbados has the lowest level of corruption among developing countries in the world.

Barbados, ranked 15th of the 176 countires surveyed with a score of 76 and  was perceived as less corrupt than several developed countries including the United States, Belgium, Japan and Britian. 

 Bahamas and St Lucia tied for the 22nd position with a score of 71 followed by St Vincent and the Grenadines in position 36 with a score of 62. Dominica was ranked 41 with a score of 58,Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica 80th and 80rd with scores of 39 and 38 respectively.

The lowest ranking among  Caribbean countries are Suriname in position 88 with a score of 37 follow by Guyana at 133 with a score of 28 and Haiti at 165 with a score of 19.
