Soca Warriors told by court to begin legal proceedings against Jack Warner

Port-of-Spain: The members of the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation have been told to start legal proceedings against  Special Adviser Jack Warner in order to obtain the financial accounts  of the federation.

This was the ruling of Justice Devindar Rampersad at today's hearing in which 13 members of the Soca Warriors World-Cup Squad  of 2006 and the federation are locked in a legal battle for bonuses and payments which they say are due to them.

Justice Rampersad stood down the case on two ocassions after Warner failed as promised to produce the financial accounts of the federation during the FIFA 2006 World-Cup the judge   also heard explanations from the federations's former attorney Om Lalla and on the second occassion the judge granted time to newly appointed attorney of the federation Derryk Ali  to be briefed on the case.

Soca Warriors' spokesman Brent Sancho said the judge's action was necessary.
