Commissioner of Police Owen Ellington has announced several changes at the top of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JFC).
In one of the biggest changes, Assistant Commissioner Devon Watkis, the head of the Area One Police, will take over as head of the Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB) replacing Assistant Commissioner Gervais Taylor, who is being transferred to the Office of the Commissioner after his brief stint at the CIB. Senior Superintendent Michael Jones is replacing Watkins as the head of Area One.
A notable change is the transfer of Senior Superintendent Terrence Bent, who headed the volatile Kingston West Police Division, to the Police Staff College in St Catherine.
