School children injured in collision between bus and garbage truck

Bridgetown.

Twenty four students from the Grantley AdamsSeconday School and a driver of a garbage truck and his helper were injured this morning, during a collision between  a Transport Board bus collided and  a privately owned truck at Cane Garden, St Thomas this morning.

Several students were treated for soft tissue injuries. The injuries of the driver and his attentant are unknown. Most of the injured were treated by a medical team from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital headed by Dr David Byer, others received treatment at the nearby Warren Polyclinic.
