East Coast Demerara : The police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred yesterday at LBI Railway Embankment, East Coast Demerara (ECD), and which resulted in the death of pedestrian David Burnett, 49 years, of Graham Street, Plaisance, ECD.
A police report stated that the driver of a motor car was proceeding along the road, allegedly at a fast rate, and struck down David Burnett who was crossing the road.
David Burnett was taken to the Georgetown Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the motor car has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
