Salute to Barbados on forty six years of Independence

Bridgetown.

Thousands of Barbadians dressed in the national colours of blue, yellow and black  braved intermitted showers   at the historic Garrison Savannah, this morning, to witness the annual Independence Day Parade.

Members of the Royal Barbados Police Force, the Defence Force and several civilian organisations in their crisp uniforms marched past Governor General for the salute.

A display was presented by the Barbados Scouts Association who is celebrating 100 years of scouting in Barbados.
