Retired warrant officer charged for theft of chicken from GDF ration depot

handcuffs-police-lights-275x167Georgetown : Military Police on Saturday May 18, 2013 were forced to arrest a recently Retired Warrant Officer Class One, after he refused to surrender for a search of his bag, following his unauthorised entry of the Force’s Ration Depot at Base Camp Ayanganna.

The Warrant Officer was verbally ordered to report to the Officer in Charge of the Military Police Department but refused and checks later revealed that he was possession of a quantity of frozen chicken.

The matter was reported to the Albertown Police Station and he was arrested and an investigation was done by the Police with statements taken from Military personnel involved in the matter.

The Ex Warrant Officer One appeared in the Georgetown Magistrates Court on Monday May 20 and was charged for Larceny of the chicken from the GDF Ration Depot and has been placed on $25,000 bail.
