Port-of-Spain: Reigning Band of the Year Champion Brian Macfarlane will host a special presentation of his mas at the Jean Pierre Complex on Carnival Monday but he says it an addition and not a replacement of the mas the band puts on each year.
The show called Macmas Monday is carded for 6.30 Carnival Monday evening and will be a theatrical production that will include the Laventille Rhtythm Section, Rosalind Gabriel, Silver Stars and artistes Shadow, David Rudder, Patrice Roberts, Tony Prescott and Kees Dieffenthaller.
Macfarlane says that on Monday they will take part in the mas as usual but he says hosting the show at the complex allows them to properly plan their lighting and other necsessities for a theatrical production.
He says this year his presentation, "Sanctification", will also include more creativity on the streets both on Monday and on Tuesday.
