Georgetown :Recently appointed Brazilian Defence, Naval and Army Attaché to Guyana, Colonel Ronaldo Pacheco paid his first official courtesy call to Chief of Staff Commodore Gary Best at his office at Defence Headquarters, Base Camp Ayanganna.
The two held brief discussions on a number of areas of co-operation between the two militaries including the previous visit to Guyana by Vice Admiral Ademir Sobrinho and team to offer assistance to the Guyana Defence Force Coast Guard.
Colonel Ronaldo replaces Colonel Wilson Mendes Lauria , who was earlier this year decorated with the Military Efficiency Medal by Commodore Best , prior to his departure , in recognition of his sterling and exceptional service to the GDF
