Ramotar heads to Venezuela for Inaugration

President Donald RamotarGeorgetown: President Donald Ramotar Thursday evening headed to the Venezuelan capital Caracas to take part in the inauguration ceremony of the Latin American country’s new President Nicolas Maduro.

He was accompanied by Foreign Affairs Minister, Carolyn Rodrigues-Birkett.

On March 8, Maduro became Venezuela’s acting president, following the death of late President Hugo Chavez, who lost a two-year-long battle with cancer on March 5. Maduro has promised to continue the socialist policies of the former leader.
