Port-of-Spain: After weeks of protest and what seemed like an iron clad position that the government's five percent wage offer was unacceptable, the Public Servants Association has agreed to accept the five percent wage offer from the Government.
Union pesident Watson Duke and members of the PSA Executive met with Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar and a governmment team which included Labour Minister Errol McLeod this afternoon, following which he told the media they will accept the five percent wage offer.
The offer comes which some new and additonal allowances.
Prime Minister Kamla Persad Bissessar announced the agreement to parliament minutes after her talks with Duke.
