Principal still on the job

Bridgetown.

Principal of the Alexandra  School Jeff Broomes is still on the job, despite the recommendation of an  Commission of Inquiry into the school that he be moved to another section of the Public Service, or be compulsorily retired.

In addition to recommending that Broomes be separated from the school, the sole Commissioner on  the Commission of Inquiry  Frederick Waterman made 14 other recommendations in his report.

The retired Judge blamed Broomes for the breakdown at the school, calling him a bully victimizing teachers who went against him and causing disharmony in the school's boardroom.

When asked to comment on the Commission Report which was laid in the House of Assembly yesterday Broomes said: "I am good. I have no comments to make on the report, my lawyer is dealing with the matter. It is in his hands".
