Prime Minister Freundel Stuart last night announced a 17 member Cabinet with some major changes and minior tweaks.
In a short radio and television broadcast to the Nation Stuart said he would retain the Ministries of National Security, the Public Service an Urban Development. Former Minister of Housing and Lands Michael Lashley is taking over the Ministry of Transports and Works from John Boyce who is the new Minister of Health.
Former Minister of Health Donville Inniss will move to the Ministries of Industry, International Business, Commerce and Small Business Development replacing Dennis Kellman who is the new Minister of Housing, Lands and Rural Development. Ronald Ronald Jones will remain at the Ministry of Education with Science, Innovation and Technology added to his portfolio.
Chris Sinckler was reappointed to the post of Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs.
Richard Sealy retains the Ministry of Tourism with International Transport added to his portfolio. Dr David Estwick was reappointed to the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, Fisheries and Water Resource Management. Steven Blackette retains the Ministry of Social Care, Constituency Empowerment and Social Care and Dr Denis Lowe reamains as Minister of Environment and Drainage.
Losing candidates Dr Esther Byer-Suckoo and Patrick Todd have been appointed to the Senate with Byer-Suckoo retaining the Ministry of Labour along with the human resources portfolio.
Todd will be Minister of State in the Prime Minister Office. He was previously in the Ministry of Housing and Lands.
Maxine McClean will continue as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade and Darcy Boyce remains Minister of State in the Prime Minister Office.
The Pariamentary Secretaries are Irene Sandiford-Garner who moves from Health to the Ministry of Tourism, Jepter Ince who remains in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs and Harcourt Husbands who moves from the Office of the Prime Minister to the Ministry of Education.
