President of Rifle Assocation on gun charge

Bridgetown.

The president of the Barbados Rifle Assocation Michael Holder, appeared  late yesterday  in the District A Magistrates Court before Magistrate Graveney Bannister on 25 charges, including 21 chages of possesssion of illegal firearms.

Holder  43, a gun dealer is also accused  that being a the holder of a firearm dealer's  licence, he failed to forward to the Commissioner of Police before January 15, a true record of the extract  number of transactions.

He is also charged with keeping firearms in a place other than a location speified by the Commissioner of Police. Holder was not requried to plead to having 4527 rounds of ammunition without a valid permitand 21 counts of prossession of afirearm without a valid licence.

Holder was remanded to HMP Dodds until Wednesday.
