President commissions new aircraft at Ogle

East Coast Demerara : Air Services Limited (ASL) has added the Cessna Grand Caravan to its fleet of aircraft that provides customer flights from the Ogle International Airport to the country’s far-flung regions and back.
The caravan was commissioned last evening by President Bharrat Jagdeo at the ASL Hangar in the presence of the airline’s management and staff and students of the aeronautical school of engineering.

The Cessna Grand Caravan takes the number of ASL operated aircrafts to 16, making the airline the largest operator at Ogle Airstrip.
The Ogle International Airport is on its way to accommodating flights regional and international and its transformation was credited to the Government’s support and approval of funding for the infrastructural development at Ogle.
ASL owns and operates the only flight school in Guyana where students can obtain a private pilot’s licence and attain their commercial and instrument licence.
