Police Service Commission is to blame says Commissioner

Bridgetown.

The Police Service Commission is to blame for the lack of promotions in the Royal Barbados Police Force.

According to Commisioner of Police Darwin Dottin, the Commission has not responded to the promotions list  that was submitted for consideration since July 2010.

"Obviously, this matter creates significant anxiety within the force. It also has a negative  effect on planning as we are unable to provide the orientation training to those officers who will be promoted to news ranks", Dottin said.

He was addressing members of the force and thier guests, during the Commisioner's Review and Parade which forms part of Police Week at the Police Sports Club in Bridgetown.
