It was the Royal Barbados Police Force which made requests to Facebook for information on three users between January and June this year.

Last week Facebook for the first time published data which showed that  Barbados was the only Caribbean Community (CARICOM) country to have made a request of the social website, Facebook, for information regarding how its nationals use the facility. According to the social media group, Barbados made three quests in the last six months.

This afternoon Public Relations Officer of the Royal Barbados Police Force Inspector David Welch. told Trakker News it was the Police who made the request.

Last week Attorney General Adriel Brathwaite denied that government had directly requested information about three Facebook users.
