Bridgetown.

Policemen searching for a missing man this morning found  over a hundred marijuana plants under cultivation at Taitt Hill, St. George. Several marijuana plants were also found drying  under shed.

The police had initially launched a search for Malcolm Small, a resident of Taitt Hill who has been missing for almost two weeks now.

He was last seen two Mondays ago by his brother Evans Parish who also lives in the district

Public Relations Officer of the Royal Barbados Police Force, Inspector David Welch told Trakker News  so far for the year lawmen have seized over 23 thousand plants. This is two thousand more than for the whole of last year.

Welch said that  police efforts to crack down on drugs coming into the country, have forced dealers to grow marijuana locally.
