Mon Repos: An off-duty police officer attached to the Police Training Academy is tonight being praised for his bravery which helped save the lives of three personsincluding two senior citizens, one of whom is specially challenged.
Police reports are indicating that shortly after four this morning the officer was driving along Ranking Street in Mon Repos when he saw a home engulfed in flames.
He ran in but found no one.
He then ran into a nearby house which was also abalze and rescued the three.
