Georgetown :The police just confirmed that two persons died and several injured. Aftwer mini-bus BMM 9888 was proceeding along Homestretch Avenue when one of the rear wheels blew out causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle which toppled several times.
A number of passengers suffered injuries and were taken to the Georgetown hospital where Coretta Benjamin, 39 years of ‘B’ Field, Sophia, and an unidentified male of African descent were pronounced dead on arrival. The other passengers are receiving medical treatment.
The driver is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
