PM stands in support of Jack Warner

Port-of-Spain: Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has come out in support of her Works and Transport Minister Jack Warner, for a second time today. This time, however, her defence took on a new meaning following a call from within the very People's Parnetship Government she leads, for suspended the FIFA Vice President to step down as a government minister in the wake of bribery allegations.

That call has come from the Congress of the People (COP), the second largest party in the five-member coalition.

Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar says she's not fazed by the dissenting views from within her Govenrment. In fact the Prime Minister told reporters in spite of what is being said her support for her Works and Transport Minister is unwavering.

The Prime Minister is also denying that the opinion of COP deputy political leader Praksah Ramadhar and others in the Partnership Government are causing fractures in the coalition. In fact the prime minister says the partnership remains solid even with the impending internal election race in the COP.

The COP is the only political party within the People's Partnership thus far to speak out against minister Warner since the FIFA scandal came emerged.

Little Jack Warner sitting in the corner…, tell them your “wrongdoing” is not as bad as the parasitic oligarchy acting as if they by themselves are the T&T Ministry of Foreign Affairs, embarking on an anti-Cuba campaign, leaving the 283 year old University of Havana off the list of Traditional Universities, and blocking Cuban doctors and Cuban-trained Trinbagonian doctors from practicing medicine in T&T. Is the parasitic oligarchy now dictating T&T foreign policy, and enforcing the illegal USA embargo against Cuba (a truly free, sovereign, and independent state with which T&T has had ties thru the Cold War), towards making T&T a USA puppet state?
