East Bank Demerara : The police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred yesterday at Diamond Public Road, EBD, and which resulted in the death of pedal cyclist Mahadeo Hemraj, 50 years, of Cinema Street, Diamond, EBD.
Investigations have revealed that mini bus BKK 7175 was proceeding along the roadway, when it is alleged that Mahadeo Hemraj swerved into the path of the vehicle and was struck down. He was taken to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the vehicle is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
