Berbice : The police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at about 6:40am at Number 19 Village Public Road, Corentyne, and which resulted in the death of pedestrian Vickram Ramlakhan, 26 years, of Number 11 Village, Corentyne, Berbice.
Investigations have revealed that Vickram Ramlakhan was struck down by a motor car while standing on the roadway. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the New Amsterdam Hospital.
The driver of the motor vehicle is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
