Newly elected Region Three chamber of commerce focuses on expansion, growth

Region Three: Newly elected President of the Region Three Chamber of Commerce and Industry Radesh Rameshwar is imploring all businesses for their support and cooperation to collectively create and operate in a business environment conducive for expansion and growth.

This was disclosed recently after a new Management Committee was installed at its Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at the Aracari Resort on the West Bank of Demerara.

Rameshwar in his inaugural speech said the new management Committee will work assiduously to achieve its mandate and objectively while operating within the confines of the constitution of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

He noted that all the businesses will be impartially represented and the new management committee stands committed to effectively addressing all issues affecting businesses in the region.

The New Management Committee is are as follows: Radesh Rameshwar  – President, Vice-President Haleem Khan, D.C. Mayers was elected General Secretary while his assistant is Ms. Rosita Ramdhan,  Asgar Bacchus – Treasurer,  while his assistant is Ms. Natasha Mahadeo,   Mr. Mohan Singh – Organizing Secretary, while Mr. Praem Rambharak was elected Public Relations Officer.

 There following were also elected as committee members thus forming the executives,  Mr. Khushial Dat, Mr. Richard Sukhdeo, Mr. Omar Ramlakhan, Mr. Deodat Persaud, Mr. Rebenaut Tularam and Mr. Shakir Ali were elected committee members.

Also in attendance were private sector representatives Vishnu Doerga and Maniram Prashad.  After the election meeting a short presentation was made by Prashad addressing the prospects of oil and gas in addition to the positive effects it will have in Region 3.
