Bridgetown.
The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) is bracing for new regulations from the Fair Trading Commission.
This was revealed by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources,Lennox Chandler.
According to Chandler the revised regulations should improve the service and delivery standard of the BWA.
Two weeks ago, Romel Crawford, the Investigations Officer in the Office of Public Counsel, said the BWA was untouchable.
He claimed there was no entity that had the power to bring the BWA to heel on matters relating to over ccharging, disconnections and other problems faced by consumers.
