Berbice : Investigations are being conducted into a fatal accident that yesterday at Manchester Village Public Road, Corentyne, Berbice, which resulted in the death of pedal cyclist Zani Munroe, 15 years, of Liverpool Village, Corentyne.
According to the police the driver of motor lorry GLL 8938 was proceeding along the roadway when it is alleged that Zani Munroe rode out from an access road onto the main road and was struck down by the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the Port Mourant Hospital.
The driver is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
