Minister of Government says no to gay marriages

Bridgetown.

Gay Barbadians should never be allowed to married, this is the view of Minister of Family, Youth, Culture, Sports and Ecclesiastical Affairs, Stphen Lashley.

Addressing the Caribbean Youth Conference being at the Garfield Sobers Gymnasium, Lashley said  this was his view for several years and it will changed because he is a  Government Minister.

" The impact of international media and television into our homes are confusing our young people and they are looking to us for guidance, we must let them know that everything which is accepted internationally is not good for us", Lashley said.

Present were leaders of Adventist organisations the region, who are in Barbados for their Bible Boom Contest Finals and related events, including community and cultural activities and a baptism.

Lashley encouraged them to stand up against social wrongs even if their views were unpopular.
